The City Police carried out the dismantling of a drug trafficking organization in the Mitre neighborhood of Saavedra and in the Congress area. During the raids, five members of the gang were detained, and more than four kilos of marijuana, cocaine, weapons, and a sum of cash were seized.
The seized items included 321 packages of cocaine and eleven "bricks" of pressed marijuana weighing four kilos. Also confiscated were 748,800 pesos in cash, two digital scales, a .45 caliber pistol, several cell phones, and a Jeep Compass vehicle in which 34 packages of cocaine were found.
The total value of the seized drugs is estimated at 5,800,000 pesos, leading to the dismantling of this dangerous criminal clan. The investigation began in April of the previous year when the Anti-Drug Investigations Division Zone I of the City Police identified drug trafficking activities in the area, specifically cocaine and marijuana.
The illegal operation was covered by "lookouts" who alerted about police presence to protect the illegal activities carried out at specific sales points within the neighborhood.
